Mark Richards has been immersed in the technology business for more than 28 years. For over 10 years, he built and deployed Internet systems, in addition to working for more than three years at Bankers Trust on Wall Street.
Specializing in IT Governance and Technology assessments, Richards has experience on the software and hardware side; he is platform agnostic. He helps clients rethink their web channel strategy, in relation to new media and growth drivers. Mark Richards is a strategic thinker who specializes in aligning a company’s growth drivers with technology.
Mark Richards has extensive client experience, including the City of New Haven Connecticut, Electronic Data Systems, Avon, Con Edison of New York, Gen Re, GE, IBM, Coldwell Banker, Bankers Trust, Certco, Simon & Schuster, Pearson, Nabisco, Herbalife, Shaklee Corporation, Orbitex Retirement Services, L.L.Bean, MoMA, HealthMarkets, Veolia Environmental Services, TIAA-CREF, Towers Watson, Enzon Pharmaceuticals and McGraw-Hill Comstock.
He also led the team that built Nabisco’s eBusiness Technical Architecture, which served content for more than 110 imprints built from their e-commerce sites. In the role of technical architect Mark and his team designed and implemented both Simon & Schuster’s and Pearson’s major e-commerce systems. Projects like this have extended his database experience in Sybase and Oracle.
Actively involved in the community, Mark Richards is a member of the Fairfield-Westchester Society for Information Management (FWSIM) and CEORoundtable, he has also been featured in eWeek. He also serves on the board of directors for the School of Engineering at the University of Bridgeport. Richards is a graduate of The Juilliard School, Yale University and SUNY Purchase College. He now lives in Fairfield County with his wife and three children.
